Jennifer Young, an accomplished baker and business owner, is a Tallahassee native and proud graduate of Texas Southern University. As a dedicated wife and mother, Jennifer continues the legacy of entrepreneurship passed down from her father and mother, as she is the owner of CNN highlighted, TC Bakery featuring Ma Mary’s Restaurant.

 

With a spoon, a dream, and a box of recipes, Jennifer Young originally started TC Bakery while her father, Isaac Williams, was in the hospital. During this stressful time, she provided donuts and other pastries to family members and local patrons.

The road to success hasn’t been easy for Jennifer. At the tender age of 10 years old she lost her beloved mother, Tommie C. Williams. Since then, Jennifer and her father have been inseparable until her marriage to Mr. Joseph Young, Jr. They are the proud parents of 5 children.

Now, 25 years after her mother‘s death she has decided to open TC bakery featuring Ma Mary’s Restaurant, in the exact location as her parent’s restaurant, Ma Mary’s. This full circle journey and legacy is what keeps Jennifer forging ahead. As the only bakery on the historic Southside of Tallahassee. Fl, Jennifer serves as a role model to both, young and old.

 

With the unwavering support of her family and living by the motto, “Faith over Fear”, Jennifer is indeed trusting God for direction and guidance.
